COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Organizers

1. This Contest is brought to you jointly by Pepsi Foods Pvt. Ltd and ESPN Software India Pvt Ltd. (ESPN) ("ORGANIZERS")

Eligibility Criteria:

2. The participant has to be an Indian citizen & should be between14 years and 30 years of age.

3. The participant should be an amateur football player who has not played at National level or for any professional league.

Registration Criteria:

4. The Pepsi T20 Football campaign is mentioned on PET bottles and CANs of Pepsi.

5. Registration is only in groups of seven participants, not less, not more.

6. To register each team has to bring 7 PEPSI Labels or crowns or cans or a combination of 7 labels/ crowns / cans.

7. Fill in the registration form at the registration venues mentioned below. Registration forms can be collected from the float or road show or at or registration venues itself.

8. Following documents will have to be submitted along with a filled copy of the registration form by each participant:
a. Duly filled registration form with passport size photograph
b. ID proof containing date of birth and permanent address
c. Guardian / Parent's Consent, in caseswhere the participant is below 18 years of age.
d. Seven PEPSI Labels or crowns or cans.

9. The Participants have to call up 08888866666 or log on to www.facebook.com/pepsiindia to find out the details of the registration venues.

10. A participant can register from any city.

11. A participant should register only from one team and one city

12. A participant cannot participate from any other city unless the participant is part of the team that is eliminated in the City Elimination Round.

13. There is no registration fee.

14. Each person is allowed to enter only in one team at a time.

15. The team will comprise of seven (7) players in a squad, the Team Captain and six (6) other players.

16. 64 teams will be registered for each city on a first come first serve basis. In the event of less than 64 teams registering in a city, the City Elimination Rounds will be played between the registered teams as per the format hereinbelow.

17. The Organizer reserves the right to invite any number of teams as backup teams. The backup teams will play the City Elimination Round inregistration order only in the eventthatany of the first 64 teamsare unable or decide not to play in the City Elimination Round event.

18. The Team Captain will undertake the responsibility of ensuring that their players are only registered in ONE (1) team for the tournament. Submission of ineligible players may render the team to be disqualified from the tournament.

19. The Organizerreserves the right to repudiate the registration of any team or player(s) at its discretion.

20. No substitution, de-registration or inclusion of players will be allowed after the closing date of registration, unless there is a valid reason; which has to be accepted by the organizers.

21. With the exception of the wild card entry team, registration will only be accepted on ground.

22. Thefinal winning team (Game Changer Team) will get a chance to be coached to play against the stars of the Indian cricket team. The coaching will be by Didier Drogba or any coach of repute. The choice of the coach will be at the sole discretion of the Organizers.

23. The Game Changer Team will get a chance to play a Pepsi T-20 Football Match with the cricket stars. The choice of the Cricket stars will be at the sole discretion of Organizers.

24. The Organizer, at its discretion, reserves the right to change the date, time and venue of the fixtures for the tournament. The dates of the City Elimination Round will be informed at the time of registration.

25. The Organizer reserves the right to introduce a team in the Tournament at the Final Stages through a wild card entry to play against the 7 City Finalists.

26. Participants have to reach the venue of games on their costs. The Organizers shall not be liable for any expenses in this regard.

27. For the Grand Finale, the Organizers will arrange to bring the national finalists to the venue. Organizerswill arrange for transport from their place of residence to the venue of the Grand Finale either by air (economy class) or by train (three tier a/c) or by road, depending on the distance between the venue and the place of residence. These teams will stay for one night in a three-star hotel on a room sharing basis. The Organizers will be responsible for bearing only the travel, lodging and boarding expenses. All other expenses, including room service, personal phone calls, internet, etc. shall be settled by the national finalists before checking out from the hotel. Failure to do so would result in disqualification of the entire team and reimbursement measures to be taken.

28. The organizerreserves the right to cancel, modify, extend or withdraw the offer at its sole and absolute discretion.

29. Decision of Organizer will be final and binding with regard to the Campaign and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

30. The Organizer shall be at liberty to use the photographs, voice, motion pictures, likeness of the participants for media coverage, advertisement or publicity in any form which is existing today or will be known anytime in the future without any further consideration to the participants.

31. The Organizers shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or any other liability arising out of the Campaign.

32. The Organizers shall not be liable for any loss or damage due to Acts of God, Governmental actions, other force majeure circumstances and shall not be liable to pay any amount as compensation or otherwise for any such loss.

33. While all reasonable precautions will be taken, the Organizers, ESPN STAR Sports, and their subsidiaries, their servants, partners and agents will not be responsible or in any way liable for any death, disability, personal injury, loss of property or any other loss howsoever arising from any cause whatsoever at any time during the course of this tournament.

34. All participants play at their own risk and shall indemnify the Organizers against any claims arising out of any injuries that are sustained during the games.

35. Incomplete entries (name/address/telephone) will not be considered.

36. The venue of matches will be informed to the registered participants at the time of registration.

37. The Games are subject to the Rules and Regulations which shall be separately notified to the teams / participants at the time of registration.

39. Procedure for Selection of the Winning Team (Game Changer Team):

A. First Stage – City Elimination Round

1. The matches will be played in a "knockout" format and will be played among 64 Teams registered from each participating City.

2. The Winning Top 32 Teams will reach the Second stage.

1. The second round of matches will be played among the 32 Teams in a knockout tournament. The winning team will be crowned the City Champion.

C. Third Stage – National Finale

1. The 7City Champions from the Second Stage and the Wild-card team will play in the National Finale to determine the Game Changer Team.
2. The Game Changer Team will play with the cricket stars.

Rules and Regulations of the Games:

1) Teams

a. Teams must consist of a maximum of 7 players, inclusive of a team captain.

b. Maximum of 5 players per team on the court: Minimum of 4 players required for competition, in case of lesser than 4 players then the match will be awarded to the opposition with a 0:3 score line.

c. Substitution will only be permitted during half time or in the event of an injury.

2) Duration of Matches

a. Games will be 15 minutes of running time with two 7.5-minute halves with a 5 minute half-time break.

b. Games may be shortened to make up for any delays in the schedule. Teams will be notified at the beginning of the match or during half time.

3) Competition Rules

a. Start

i. The match starts when the referee tosses the ball between 2 facing players in the center of the pitch into the court.

ii. When a goal is scored, the team that has conceded the goal receives the ball and the goalkeeper is allowed to bring the ball back into play immediately after the referees' whistle

b. Goalkeeper Rules

i. The goalkeeper may NOT score goals

ii. The goalkeeper is NOT allowed to leave the penalty area

iii. If a goal keeper leaves the penalty area, the goal keeper's team loses possession and a free kick is awarded to the opposing team from the center (mid-point) of the pitch

iv. The goalkeeper must not hold the ball longer than 5 seconds in his penalty area ("playing for time")

v. When restarting play, the goalkeeper must distribute the ball from his hands underarm (below shoulder height). If the goalkeeper does not distribute the ball underarm, a free kick will be awarded to the other team at the center (mid-point) of the pitch

vi. The pass back rule applies. If a goalkeeper picks the ball up with his hands after receiving a pass back from a team mate the other team is awarded a penalty

c. Goal points (Normal and Bonus)

i. Scoring in the goal nets (normal goals) are worth 2 points

ii. Two circles in the field will be marked as Pepsi zones

1. Any goal scored directly from a team's own 'Pepsi zone' will be worth 6 points

2. Any goal scored directly from the opposing team's 'Pepsi zone' will be worth 4 points.

3. For the Pepsi zone scoring to apply, the shot on goal MUST be taken inside the Pepsi zone. The referee's discretion will be heeded and not contested.

d. Rules for Penalty Area :

i. Outfield players must not enter the penalty area. This rule applies to both attacking and the defending team players.

ii. If an outfield player from the defending team enters his own team's penalty area, the other team receives a penalty

iii. If a player from the attacking team enters the opposing team's penalty area, the opposing team receives a free kick from the center (mid-point) of the pitch

e. One Player always in Opposition Half :

i. At least one player must remain in the opposition half of play. If an entire team is in it's own half, a foul will be awarded against the team at fault and the ball will be awarded to the opposing goal keeper to being back into play via an underhand ground roll.

f. Time-wasting :

i. The referee can award a Free kick against a team which is persistently time-wasting after the team has been first warned about its conduct.(For e.g. stepping on the ball for more than 5 secs)

g. Penalty Kicks : A penalty for the opposing team is given when

i. A player from the defending team enters his own team's penalty area

ii. A team passes back three times in a row directly to their own goalkeeper with the intention of time wasting (without a player from the opposing team having had the chance to touch the ball). The referee is free to judge the situation/circumstances of the time wasting offence and take a decision on the spot.

iii. If the goalkeeper holds the ball longer than 5 seconds in his penalty area ("playing for time")

iv. If the goalkeeper picks up the ball with his hands when he receives a back pass from a player on his own team

v. Due to foul play in front of the goal area

vi. A penalty shot should be taken only by one player from the attacking team and more than one player cannot team up to take the penalty shot

vii. Active players (except the goalkeepers) from both the teams are required to line up behind the player taking the penalty kick

viii. A penalty kick must be taken towards the goal. If the ball moves backwards from the goal the penalty is lost and the goalkeeper (who faced the penalty shot) receives the ball to restart play

ix. A penalty shot rebounding off the post/goal keeper cannot be retaken and the rebounding ball cannot be kicked by players of either team. The ball will be given to the goalkeeper (who faced the penalty shot) to restart play

h. Free Kicks

i. All free kicks are indirect. All players of the opposing team must be a minimum of 1 meter from the ball when a free kick is being taken.

ii. The referee awards a free kick for:

1. All fouls on the field except for any offence, which is seen as a "penalty offence"

2. If a player seeks to gain an advantage by holding the perimeter board/fence

i. Out Balls

i. If a ball goes out of play and escapes the playing area, the opposing team's goalkeeper will receives the ball to roll back into play.

j. Fouls :

i. In the event of a foul or unfair play the referee may judge as follows:

1. Yellow card (one minute time exclusion): For foul play a player will be excluded from the match for 1 (one) minute during which time the team has to play with one less player. A player given a yellow card will be sent off for one minute and not allowed back on. After one minute has elapsed the player given the yellow card will be replaced by another player from the team.

2. Red card (match penalty): for serious foul play a player is excluded from the rest of the match. The team has to play with one less player for the remainder of the match. A red card will only be given for serious foul play, violent conduct or abuse of the referee. The player will be sent off immediately and not be allowed back during the game. No replacement player will be allowed on. The same applies to coaches. Each evening the organizers will decide what action to take against the player or coach. Sanctions include suspension from future games.

ii. In case the goalkeeper is sent off (temporarily in case of a Yellow card and for full duration of the game in case of a Red card), the affected team may convert one of the on-field players into a goalkeeper for the period of expulsion.

iii. When a goalkeeper comes back into the cage (after serving the expulsion period), he/she will be allowed to resume his previous role.

k. Exclusion from the tournament for a team:

i. If rules are seriously breached (heavy foul play, foul play on purpose, unacceptable behaviour on the court towards the referees, the audience or other players), one player or a team can be excluded from the tournament. If a whole team is excluded from the tournament then all the matches played or scheduled to be played by that team will be awarded to the opposition with a 0:3 score line

l. Referees:

i. Each match will have three referees. Two referees will be positioned at either end of the playing court. The senior referee will be free to move around as he or she sees fit.

4) Other Conditions

a. All players must bring along their valid identification cards or passports on the day of the tournament for verification purposes.

b. Team Manager/Official/Captain will undertake to submit their team line-up form to the presiding Tournament Official for all matches at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time of play. Teams will concede a walkover, if they fail to turn up 5 minutes after the scheduled time of play, unless they have valid reasons, wherein the decision of the Organizers will be final.

c. Each team should have at least two sets of contrasting (colour) shorts. The first named team on the fixture will ensure that their shorts contrast in colour to those of their opponents. All players are also required to wear shin guards at all times during play.

d. Any form of rough play, un-gentlemanly and unsportsmanlike conduct is strictly forbidden.

e. The Team Managers/Officials/Captains will be responsible to monitor and ensure that their player/s under suspension are not fielded for subsequent matches, failing which the team may be disqualified.

f. Team supporters will not question the decision of the referee. Sideline coaching/instructions are NOT allowed. If supporters continue with bad language/sideline coaching and attempt to distract the Referee from the game, the Referee will ask the Team Manager/Official/Captain to restrain their supporters. If this appeal is not heeded, the Referee will warn the Team Manager/Official/Captain that this is a breach of the tournament rules and that disciplinary action will be taken against the team.

g. In this case, the Referee reserves the right to default the infringing team, abandon the game and submit a report to the organizers for a decision.

h. If, for any reasons a match could not be played, the match may be rescheduled at the discretion of the organizer.

i. No weapons, alcohol or illicit substances will be permitted at any premises or during any part of the Competition.

j. Participant shall comply with these terms and conditions and waives any right to claim ambiguity in these terms and conditions and release, indemnify and hold harmless Organizer and its respective affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and its respective agents, representatives, officers, directors and employees from and against any injuries, losses, damages, claims, actions, or any liability of any kind resulting from or arising from this Programme.

5) FIRST AID AND MEDICAL COVERAGE

a. A medical team will be on site to provide first aid for injuries sustained during the course of play. Each participating team will be responsible for their first aid outside of the match.

b. In the event of a player being injured especially when bleeding occurs, he must be removed temporarily from the game for the injuries to be attended to immediately.

i. The affected team may substitute the injured player at once.

ii. In the event that the injured player is fit to play again, the team may re-substitute the player back but only during the half time break

c. Any blood-stained attire must be changed before the player re-enters the game.

d. Medical coverage and Personal Accident insurance will not be provided to players. All participants play at their own risk and shall indemnify ORGANIZERS against any claims arising out of any injuries that are sustained during the games.

6) SUPPLEMENTARY RULES

a. In the event of a need for disciplinary action to be taken against any player or team, the Organizers will make a decision and disqualify the team, as it deems fit.

b. In the event of any question or matter arising out of any point, which is not expressly provided for in any of the rules governing this tournament, the decision of the organizers will be final.

c. The Rules and Regulations as depicted are current at the time of printing. The organizers reserves the right to add, delete and/or vary the said Rules and Regulations at any time as it deems fit.
